Takayasu's Arteritis is a rare inflammatory disease that affects the aorta and it's branches. Although not much is known about this disease, one thing is for sure, this illness brings on major lifestyle changes for both patients and their loved ones.
As patients, spouses, parents, significant others, sons and daughters, we all live with the effects of this devastating illness. The unpredictability of the disease, the treatments, the emotional impact, as well as the costs... all of theses effect not just the Takayasu's Arteritis patient, but the entire family.
The purpose of this web-site is to connect Takayasu's Arteritis patients, their families, their friends and their medical providers with information regarding not only this disease, but also with related health, legal, financial and social issues as well.
